Cruelty FREE cheeses for real cheese lovers!

I must have spent a grand total of a million pounds, or feels like, on vegan cheese in the past in the search for one that doesn't make me gag. The graveyard of opened cheeses in my fridge rotting away but can't stand to be thrown away as it's a sign I have yet again wasted cash on a cheese. Replicating that gooey, strong flavour can be tough if you were a real cheese fan.

I'll be honest with you. Some things you just have to let go of. Let it go. you're never going to replicate some things and maybe that's a good thing. But for those in search of a replacement here's a couple of useful resources.

One is the Top 12 recipes to make your own vegan cheese and the other is the tried and tested guide to UK cheeses.

The recipe for each cheese is in the link below the image. How helpful.
Enjoy!

Look. It's not cheese, is it? Cheese is made from animals. This is something found somewhere in the universe that smells of sick and feels like grout gone off. I found, like this witty blogger here, that the spread was ok but I could not agree more that the Cheddar smells of sick and tastes like an anus. If anus was tasted. Melted - fine. On a cracker - forget it.

Check out this funny blog all about her experince with Vegan #GARY (Makes sense when you read it)

And finally,

Here's a very useful guide by the Vegan society listing some shop bought cheeses and a rating score for each given by some poor soul. Ha, joking, I have tried some on this list and Vio Life is so good in a toastie. I did try the cream cheese spread of theirs and it was like eating grout or filler for me, but each to their own.

It's good to read blogs and get some advice but remember everyone's opinion is just that.

Get out there and waste loads of cash yourself like I did and find your favourite cheese yourself x Above all thank you and well done for trying! The goats, sheep and cows thank you (and anything else that people make cheese from -yuk!).

And remember. For me, it's not about finding the exact taste you had when you ate chesse. it's about your act to give it up. To stop the cruelty and to move on. So for that, I applaud the shops, people and sufferers who continue to search for a kinder alternative. For that, I love you all and the animals thank you.
